SEMA at the NAHB International Builders Show in Orlando FL, 2017

From January 10 - 12, 2017 SEMA exhibited at the NAHB IBS in Orlando, Florida. The NAHB IBS is the largest construction-trade show in North America. Around 80.000 attendees visited the exhibits of more than 1500 manufacturers and suppliers on nearly 570.000 square feet of exhibition area. The location of the show switches between Orlando, FL and Las Vegas, NV every second year.

Since more than 30 years, the SEMA Group is recognized as a pioneering software company in the fields of timber and stair construction and more recently also in sheet metal work, metal roof coverings & flashings and facades. SEMA is thus the only manufacturer of three software products ranging from construction to machinery in all three domains.

Participating in Alberta’s booth, SEMA’s North-American Partners attended the NAHB International Builders Show in Orlando, Fl. The company excelled by demonstrating the convincing individual options and possibilities of the SEMA software to visitors.

During the three-day exhibit, many interested visitors took the opportunity to learn more about the SEMA software. They got information about the advantages of the SEMA software in predesigning and prefabrication compared to non-computer-aided planning and construction.

The SEMA representatives were able to directly answer the many questions of the individual visitors and pointed out the multitude of possibilities and advantages the usage of a sophisticated timber construction software has over the usual stick framing process.

Additional to that stair builders and timber framers, but also research and development companies and universities were the main visitors at the SEMA booth.

The support of trend-setting BIM as a holistic planning process in combination with the long-term experience of SEMA is definitely an indicator for a successful future of SEMA in North America.
