SEMA 64-Bit

In future the SEMA program will be available as high-performance 64-bit software to provide even more planning power. The SEMA program can thus employ the entire available working memory of the computer.

Where there used to be memory bottlenecks due to the 32-bit restriction, this is no longer the case. Due to technical limitations, a 32-bit software can receive and use a maximum of 4 gigabytes of memory from the operating system. In the 64-bit version, this restriction is removed and the entire RAM available to the computer can be used, regardless of whether this is 16 or even 32 gigabytes.

This is often necessary, because the demands on timber construction have increased incessantly in recent years and there is still no end in sight. The projects are getting bigger with ever more details. Multi-family houses, multi-storey office buildings, schools and other public buildings are increasingly being built as wooden constructions.

Projects are developed in more and more detail: The terrain is faithfully recreated and the building is enhanced with interiors for the visualisation and presentation of the project. Terrain, plants and other 3D objects complete the building project - exactly as desired by the customer.

Walls, ceilings and roof panels, i.e. all components, are prepared to the highest level of detail in the SEMA program and manufactured to the millimetre on joinery machines and element production lines. Steel connectors, steel parts and sheet metal, planned down to the last detail, are comprehensively drawn in the program as in reality.

The storage requirements for large and precisely planned projects are enormous. With the 64-bit version, SEMA have set the fundamentals so that timber builders will be able to plan and implement such projects in the future. The performance has also been enhanced: The command sequences have a noticeably better flow and computational operations (automatic operations, transfers, exports, etc.) have been accelerated.
