Just brilliant. SEMA has developed a real innovation by processing 3D point clouds of any size. This is unique in timber construction and stair design. All things that are only possible in this way in the SEMA program with a 3D point cloud, have now become even more flexible.
Especially in situations when a 3D measurement is very helpful in the planning and realisation of a project, the new pay-per-use option is exactly the right solution. From version 21-1 on, any point cloud can be activated for a one-time fee using the new Pointpay method. The payment process is carried out in a modern and uncomplicated manner via PayPal. The converted point cloud can be imported and edited in any current program version without the need for additional software. The point cloud can thus be passed on - the point cloud can be opened on any number of workstations.
After the conversion the point cloud is displayed in the SEMA program in the 2D top view with an object frame. Further settings such as the point cloud density, point size and point cloud colour can be made in the display settings. The settings depend on the graphics memory installed on the computer. In each setting, SEMA recognizes the size of the graphics memory and displays the highest possible number of points.
Further working with the point cloud in SEMA is as convenient as usual in the 2D top view, in all 3D views or sections. Whether the point cloud has 10 million or several billion points does not matter for the performance of the program. Constructions can be planned down to the last detail using a point cloud and reconstruction measures can be visualised for the end customer with visually clear representations. A point cloud is the perfect construction basis in particular for annexes and conversions or renovations in timber construction and stair design as well as for facades.
