Fasteners + Steel Elements

Complex stairs require the use of fasteners. The SEMA program provides a large number of fasteners so that almost any stairs shape can be put into practice: from floating/self-supporting stairs to steel cut string stairs. Stairs with steel stringers are increasingly being produced in the field of modern stair design. That way, a decorative mixture of materials is achieved.

Extensive libraries of end types with conventional timber connections such as tenons and scarf joints, timber connectors such as lamellar connectors and dowels or steel connections with bolts or other special fasteners & brackets offer users constructive flexibility for the perfect construction of stairs.

Tread Inserts

Treat inserts can be incorporated into treads in any shape and size. Apart from detailed material recording, the resulting geometries can also be transferred to CAD-CAM programs.

Spiral Stairs

Special functions for the construction of spiral stairs; either with sleeves or with metall substructures. The shape of the treads can be individually adapted to the used system.

Self-supporting stairs

With special spacers for the steps self-supporting stairs can be realised.

Adapting fasteners

When you select a fastener, it goes without saying that the corresponding processing of the component such as drillings, millings, etc. are automatically taken into account. Every fastener is also included in the material list - thus exact calculations and evaluations are possible.

Fastener library

A large part of the fasteners of the different manufacturers are already listed in the SEMA master data library. Additional fasteners can be imported and created any time to extend the library as needed.

In addition to the planning of stairs with steel stringers, the SEMA software enables modern and ambitious (metal) stairs builders to plan and carry out the construction of steel cut string stairs as well.

Master Data

We want stair builders to find input as easy as possible. Thus, various types of steel cut string stairs with cut strings and railings have been stored permanently. It is therefore possible to design any type of steel cut string stairs with finished cut strings, railings and treads with just a few clicks of the mouse.

How to make subsequent changes

There are various options available if you want to change the stairs after insertion. For example, it is possible to subsequently change and modify the look of cut strings in many ways or to optimise cut strings by means of the Automatic stair output - you can optimise either a single cut string or several cut strings all at once.
