Handrail parapet heights and headroom can now be controlled more easily, stair fillings can be defined storey-high, risers can also be hatched in the top view, punching can be displayed more easily, filling grooves can be exported and newel post notches can be defined so that they can be produced without tearing. All these enhancements serve to further optimize the planning and manufacturing of stairs to achieve a more user-friendly manner.
Risers can be hatched in the top view: The desired hatching can be defined and activated in the Optics tab. In addition, the colour of the filling can be customized.
Better control of headroom in the 3D mode: The set headroom can be activated as a polyline in the 3D view in the display options (F7). Consequently, this allows for the visual control of the headroom.
More convenient control of the parapet height of the handrail: The definition options for the parapet height in the Overall Developed View of a handrail have been enhanced under the display options (F7). The definitions that were defined in the master data of the handrail under “Curve calculation” are now decisive:
If the reference edge is set to “Tread FE” and the direction is set to “vertical”, the distance specified here will be used to display the curve calculation in the developed view. In this case, the parapet height set in the F7 menu under “Stair” has no influence. If a different reference edge or direction is selected in the master data, the handrail is set to the height specified there.
As before, the heights of the points that display the handrail are derived from the F7 settings. However, the new features now make it possible to determine a different reference point for the handrail, while the F7 settings make sure that all specified dimensions are maintained. Consequently, the compliance with the parapet height can be checked without having to use the front edge of the tread as a reference point.
Simplified representation of punching: Punching on stair components can now be displayed in both the top view and the views. To do this, the "Punching processing" option must be activated in the F7 menu in the "Stairs" section under the "General" item. Depending on the stair component, the punching is displayed either as a contour or as a complete punching.
Ensure tear-free processing of newel post notches: As of the new version, the projection of newel post notches can also be defined towards the outside in order to ensure tear-free processing. The corresponding settings for the stair machine export have been made in the INI file.
Stair fillings are now possible from the string to the storey: Two new reference points have been introduced for stair fillings. The option "String bottom edge" is now available in the area of the top edge. "Storey" has been added in the area of the bottom edge. This new feature makes it possible to create stair fillings below the string down to the storey.
Export a filling groove at the push of a button: Additionally, it is now possible to export a filling groove with the "Filling line" option, similar to strings and handrails. Consequently, the edge type 7270 is required in the INI file.
