"Building Information Modeling" is a process that delivers information to all parties involved in the building project to achieve the efficient planning, design, construction and management of building work hand in hand.
The SEMA group is member of the official BIM organization buildingSMART Germany.
SEMA provides the high-quality import of IFC, DXF/DWG data and a great number of other CAD data formats for the perfect exchange of:
Additionally, SEMA offers high-quality data export of DXF 2D and 3D as well as 3D files. Architects can, thus, check the structural analysis and other details of the building project.
The IFC data interface is a standardised data format and the basis for the mutual information exchange between all partners involved in the planning process (BIM).
Users of the IFC model benefit from an "intelligent" data model available across other programmes - in contrast to the conventional exchange provided by mere 2D or 3D line art. The advantages of IFC are obvious: Due to the access to data previously defined in an application, it is no longer necessary to repeatedly input data manually - provided the target programme is able to evaluate the data. As a result, time and money will be saved. Unlike conventional data transfers, an IFC transfer makes sure that the complete "information content" of a building model will be achieved.
Data exchange in the IFC format - SEMA converter for the import and/ or export of building data. You can import IFC-xml-files directly into the SEMA Software by using the converter. Storeys, walls, windows, doors, roof areas as well as floors are being transformed into real SEMA components during the import in order to make processing easier. Additionally, projects created in the SEMA Software can be exported to other programmes for data exchange as IFC-xml projects.
